Mini grants for musicians: NALM Music
Josh believed fervently that all musicians, irrespective of resources should be able to share their music with the world. To that end, he founded NALM (Not Another Like Mine) an electronic music record label focused on releasing original house and techno music. NALM supported artists seeking better ways to publish their music and launch their careers.

My background in Communication and Music allows me to approach leading marketing operations and community engagement from multiple lenses.
As Co-Founder at Vibe Stream Network, my role is to develop unique approaches to reshaping the Entertainment Industry through Web3/Blockchain. I am a producer and host of multiple streaming shows and constantly networking with numerous artists, producers, web3 builders, and industry professionals for collaboration. My goal is to build a viral culture and community that revolutionizes how art is created, owned, and consumed.
My position at Timeless Wallet was to demonstrate the tools that our platform has to offer to businesses, projects, and Web3 Builders alike. In addition to onboarding communities into the Beta app, I developed engagement to retain the users as well as aided our partners in marketing and recruiting new users to their channels.
Formerly Chief Marketing Officer at Beat of the Week, I handled recruitment, retention, and coordinated all media and events. I grew the app from 30 to 300,000 international users. During this time, I recruited media teams and directed 4 documentaries, 15+ cypher videos, and countless advertisements to improve User Experience and onboard new users. Additionally, I partnered with publishing companies and radio stations to provide further opportunities and access to creators around the world.
Growing up as a white, Jewish guy with a lisp making rap music, Shai Mate is used to being underestimated—but like a stampede of elephants, IAMSHY can’t be contained. Shai doesn’t operate in half-measures. At 18, he started releasing music, and by 22, he’d played over 200 shows. He continued to elevate his skillset graduating with a diploma from Nimbus School of Recording Arts in 2013 and released a self-produced album a year later. In 2015, recognizing he needed a financial vehicle to fund his music, he started selling life insurance, but his work ethic quickly got the best of him. By 2018, Shai had built one of the top sales teams in North America, but couldn’t escape his unhappiness. At age 26—despite financial stability, countless awards, and speaking engagements at international conferences—he walked away from it all to do what matters most to him. IAMSHY is Shai Mate’s boiling point; proof that anyone—with a work ethic like his—can carve out their own path to success. Don’t be shy—you don’t need anyone’s approval.
