THE JOSH FUND

Amplifying Lives One Beat at a Time

Our mission is to facilitate and support access and opportunity to the world of music for aspiring musicians and in doing so honor the memory of Josh Markowitz; musician, composer, producer and entrepreneur.

Josh believed that music is transformative and can empower the lives of youth, and turn dreams into reality. To honor this belief, his family and friends are establishing a fund to support and nourish aspiring young musicians.

On July 20th friends and family gathered to celebrate and honor Josh through music, dance, and community at Mbar in Seattle.

On March 15th 2023, Josh would have turned 30 years old and we wanted to honor and celebrate his life in the way he would have wanted.

We are so grateful to all of the artists, family and friends who joined us in his honor.

the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims - November 20th 2022.

On World Day of Remembrance, November 20th 2022 at 11 am PST, The Josh Fund memorialized Josh on the corner of Hollywood and Wilcox in Los Angeles with a Rainbow Halo, a project The Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) created in partnership with the Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA), and SoCal Families for Safe Streets to commemorate people who died in traffic crashes. In 2019, LADOT installed 100 Rainbow Halos around the City of Los Angeles at the sites of these tragedies. We continued this movement by installing a Rainbow Halo for Josh on November 20th.
